Amazing pencil art by artist Jennifer Maestre

I love impressionism. One of my favourite painters is Claude Monet. I can’t name just only one favourite painting of him. He made so many beautiful pieces of art. At their time impressionist movement was something really original, new and revolutionary.
And I would like to introduce you somebody original from our times – Jennifer Maestre. She is a South African artist. She creates sculptures made entirely of colored pencils. Such a fun!   I love the amazing shapes and colors! It looks almost like creatures of nature.

Theme park Legoland in California

Legoland California is a 128-acre theme park located in Carlsbad, near San Diego. It is the third of four Legoland parks and is the only Lego theme park in the United States. Geared to children between the ages of 2 and 12, it features more than 50 interactive rides, shows and attractions as well as Lego-themed restaurants and shops. The park is also beautifully landscaped with 1,360 bonsai trees and other plants from around the world.

Kay Petal is an Alaska based artist who creates some amazing and cool artworks from wool by needle felting. It all started three years ago while she was searching for a good craft idea for reusing her old wool sweaters. And she came upon this technique on the internet, which became her full time preoccupation. And since then she has been creating these pretty interesting sculptures made from wool.

Amazing art paper castle

I’ve seen several posts lately displaying things that seemingly took Herculean amounts of patience to accomplish. This one takes the cake – a paper castle complete with electric lights, monorail system and Ferris wheel.
This stunning castle was created by Japanese art student Wataru Itou. It took four years of dedication to bring to fruition. It is complete with electric lights and a working train. The exhibit is called “A Castle On The Ocean” and is on display in Tokyo.

Amazing the Leaning Tower of Pisa

The famous Leaning Tower of Pisa impresses everyone who visits it. It is located in the city of Pisa in Italy and its structure sits in Piazza dei Miracoli (Cathedral Square). Visitors who are not aware of its history might wonder why a large task reflects poor civil engineering. The tower stands next to two impressive buildings, the Camposanto and the Duomo the Baptistry.
An Italian sculptor named Bonanno Pisano designed it in 1174. The Leaning Tower of Pisa slowly began sinking right after the laborers started building it around 800 years back. When the third floor was being constructed, the workers started to realize that the Tower was slightly leaning. The problems occurred because of the poor choice of location to build the Tower.

The Sand Sculpture Festival it opens in  England (Weston Super Mare) . Sand artists from across the globe have gathered at the festival to create themes, buildings and landmarks from 360 tonnes of sand representing the seven continents of the world. The festival runs until the end of August.Sand sculpting is an art form, as it requires the individual's creativity and imagination. Like in all other styles of art, the artist must have skill, patience and lots of practice in order to improve his or her work. Eventually, even with the use of simple tools, awesome showpieces will emerge.

Sand sculpting has become increasingly popular, as there are now companies in the United States that will create enormous sand sculptures for corporations and private clients all over the world. There are also many sand sculpting competitions that take place every year, whereby the subject matter goes well beyond the basic sand castle; instead, complex and sophisticated structures are typically attempted and some end up being works of art. In 2007, Ed Jarrett made the record books at Point Sebago Resort in Casco, Maine when he completed his "Castle to the Sun," which was 31.7 feet high.

Sculpture Gallery - Portraits

Portraits of a person of one age can be commissioned that represents the subject at a different age by gleaning images from family albums, yearbooks, print media, and the like.
Not everyone can afford to have his or her own art sculpture. They could always improvise and try to make their own art sculpture. They can do this by making a paper mosaic or similar art pieces. In making these things, there is no right and wrong move. Everyone is entitled to his preference on what he wants to do with his materials. He can even combine one or more art technique to come up with a unique masterpiece that he can be proud. It is not every people get to enjoy this one of a kind experience that they can cherish for the rest of their lives.
