The official Communist Party newspaper in China is claimed the snake was one of two enormous boas found by workers clearing forest for a new road outside Guping city, Jiangxi province.

They apparently woke up the sleeping snakes during attempts to bulldoze a huge mound of earth.

Saving the leopard from the well in India

Instances of wild animals like leopards and tigers straying into residential areas are not a new thing.

Residents of Sonaighuli in Guwahati heaved a sigh of relief after a leopard on prowl and which had fallen into an open well in their neighbourhood was rescued by the rangers of Forest Department on Saturday.

They spotted it when they came to draw water from the well in the early hours of morning and instantly, they informed the police who in turn summoned the forest rangers.

Some say that humans are smarter than animals but do we really know?  They give us signals to let us know what they may want when they have become domesticated but if we really spoke their language would they actually be more intelligent on a spiritual level?
We may speak different languages but they seem to have it right about living life and using the Law of Attraction.  They may not know they use it but they do and you can see examples all through their life cycles.  I think we could learn a thing or two about how to live life from our furry and wonderful animal friends.

Yoga Cats 2010 Calendar

To compete the yoga dogs some cats joined the team of professional photographer Dan Borris and his wife Alejandra and pose in various yoga style to create a stretching 2010 calendar that is sure to claw its way into the affections of animal lovers everywhere. Stretching into impossible poses these photogenic felines could be the most relaxed cats of all time. The poses were created using a mixture of real photographs and some Photoshop magic.

On the day that the crowd of robins visited, a parade of other birds joined them in the dogwood tree. Among them, this Red-bellied Woodpecker male. It's always a treat when he visits the dogwood tree, and this time was no exception. He flew into the dogwood limbs, hung upside down to pluck a berry, then flew to a nearby trunk to reposition it before swallowing.

Crocodile Cage of Death

Ever wanted to come face-to-face with a real live crocodile? Well, now you can, at the newly-opened Crocosaurus Cove theme park in Darwin, Australia.
The park’s star attraction, the “Cage of Death”, allows visitors to have a close-encounter with a crocodile from within the safety of a 4-cm-thick acrylic tank that separates them from “Choppa,” a saltwater crocodile who lost both front teeth from fighting with other crocodiles.
Visitors will be submerged in the tank for 15 minutes while Choppa tries to take a bite out of them.
While this may sound appealing to thrill seekers, the attraction has sparked criticism from animal rights activists who see it as a cruel way of taunting the crocodile and intruding its home.
In addition to the “Cage of Death,” the park also features seven crocodile enclosures with underwater viewing windows and one with a swimming area next to the window so visitors can see what it feels like to swim with the crocodiles.

Psyche! - You're Dead

As you probably know, baby animals are the original masters of deception. One of their favorite pastimes is to trick us humans into thinking they are hurt. This baby fox has even gone to the length of putting on a cute pink cast in an effort to confuse his prey. If a man were to approach the fox, the baby animal would first whimper, then a small grin would form at the corners of his mouth. Typically the baby fox would then begin to laugh hysterically and just as the human begins to laugh along with him the fox will devour the man whole in one, maybe two bites. The disguise will then burst into flames and the baby animal will fly into the darkness (still laughing) eager to tell his friends about the silly human he just encountered and digested mid-flight.
